The MeidasTouch Network, a news organization founded by three brothers with no background in journalism or politics, announced the release of their first book on Wednesday. The volume, titled "WTF America: The Way Out of This Hell and Back to Democracy," promises to guide the nation back from the brink of authoritarian collapse using the insights of marketing and video editing.
Co-author Ben Meiselas described the project during a YouTube announcement flanked by barking dogs. "We have a major announcement we are making today here at the Midas Touch Network," Meiselas said. "WTF America. That is how I feel every morning when I wake up. WTF? How did we get here?"
The book, according to promotional materials, tackles the central question of how three brothers with no relevant credentials built one of the world's largest news organizations and now feel qualified to script the republic's redemption. Chapters are structured around the exclamation "WTF," applying the same rhetorical depth to topics like oligarchy, authoritarianism, and the former president's refusal to release Epstein files.
The text draws on the authors' litigation experience against what they refer to as Captain Comb-Over's "various scams," as well as their marketing firm's proven strategies for shortening attention spans. "We talk about how you can translate getting out truthful information into modern mediums," Meiselas explained, without clarifying how a book release achieves that translation.
The authors emphasize that the solution begins with listening to people, delivering action with empathy, and not panicking when your own dogs bark through the closing pitch. "The most important thing," Meiselas added, "is you have to listen to what the people are saying. You have to understand the pain people are going through and the aspirations they have. It starts with listening."
The MeidasTouch Network, founded by the Meiselas brothers in 2020, has grown into a major independent media outlet by repackaging viral legal commentary and rallying pro-democracy audiences. The book will codify this model, offering a path from hellish confusion to democratic certainty in several hundred pages of profane chapter headings.
